Understanding Reconciliation: Indigenous 101

Do you know the difference between Indigenous and Aboriginal? What do you know about the Indian Act? In this two hour presentation, you will learn more about the terminology related to Indigenous Peoples in Canada and the historical trauma that has led to some of the present-day challenges. Together we will create a safe space to talk about all the questions you have but have been afraid to ask.

‘It’s very important for the youth to have these positive role models’

The actors will hand out donated shoe boxes filled with packages of small toys, personal hygiene products and school supplies from the organization I Love First Peoples.
